2008/2009 Update
Well it's been some time since a proper update was done! So I thought I'd better give a quick update on how things have progressed :)
We've now added a second AEG main spring to assist in returning the bolt to battery - this has had a fantastic effect on increasing the rate of fire to to 550rpm we were looking for. In addition to that we've got transport for it sorted... in the form of a Series 3 Land Rover. Here some pics of it being worked on and in the field:
The chassis was in bad condition so we had to jack it up and weld new bits of steel in. Next to it the next Land Rover project under wraps :P
MadDog welding.
It's dark and damp but we work on. At this point the chassis was all welded up and given a heavy dose of wax-oil. Work begins on the A-frame that will end up supporting the M2.
Welding the A-frame into the cab.
Welding the final section in:
The A-Frame is in.
Now I could have sworn I had pictures of us cutting the roof off but I can't find them now. However there is this pic I took as we were driving the Landy down to skirmish site - gives you a good idea what happened :)
Up at the site:

Well I know it's not the M2 but here's the Land Rover with it's Universal Mounting System sporting a P3 Minigun :)
The M2 also went down to Ground Zero's large weekender game:
