Day 25 - Tuesday 7th August
We needed a shroud for where the barrel meets the heatsheild, so it looks a bit like this:
MadDog had the excellent idea of using an old lighter fluid can as the cover, its needed to complete the look and we also need it to prevent dirt getting down into the bearings. So after totally emptying the can and punching a few holes in the bottom we cut the bottom off.

The Feed tray cover get's the 3rd curve put on it:
We managed to put the 4th one on but it was about 10.30pm at night at that time and we didn't want to p*** off my neighbours with the angle grinder, so there's a bit of metal still poking out the side that needs cutting and bending (not pictured above) :P
After a lot of testing and working out where, how, what, when, why we get ready to weld the ammo tray to the mount:
Success! The Barrel shroud is on, the stained grips are on and the ammo tin is all in place and lined up. Don't know if you can really see it in this pic but we've put the ammo tray on a slight angle so that it's tipping towards the gun, the idea being it'll stay on easier when mounted on the Land Rover:
Still more work to be done on the feed tray cover but it's flying along now. Really need to paint that barrel shroud :)
