Days 21 & 22 - Friday 6th and Monday 9th July
Damn weather has been slowing our progress a little: can't use the angle grinders in the shed because it's a just a mad fire hazard and certainly can't use it outside when it's raining :( Still we managed to get a lot done on Monday and all the little peices start falling together.
The feed-plate is all cut, welded and grinded to a reasonable finish:
The rounds will sit like this, the round in the gun will be held in with some pins, we want to keep the feed tube loose so it's easier to lock into the hole:
The underside mounting bracket is welded on:
Started work on the big mounting bracket that will hold the ammo-tin, we not really paying much attention to the RS version of the bracket here, just drumming up something that'll work, here's the bit that's going to hold the ammo tin:

After some welding and drilling both handle brackets are in place, ingnore the bolts and tubes, they're there to get it all lined up right:
